A WORKING FARM
Pickwell Barton has been in the Cook family for nearly 100 years, a working farm with land that lies on the North Devon coast with some of the most beautiful scenery you will ever see. The land overlooks the glorious sandy beaches of Putsborough and Woolacombe sands North Devon awarding winning blue flag beaches with toilets and shops.
The cattle and the sheep are all traditionally reared outdoors free to roam in the fields of grass.
When ever you visit there is always something going on as each season brings its own attraction.
In March our flock of 800 ewes have their lambs, you can enjoy walking through the meadows to the South West Coast Path(that runs through our farm) watching the lambs skip and play in the spring sunshine.
During the summer sunshine we will be out in the fields bringing in the harvest. Haymaking and the corn harvest, we grow 200 acres of cereals wheat, barley, and oats.
November and December is not only for making the Christmas cakes and puddings you will find us still out in the fields picking Brussel sprouts to sell at the local Farmers Markets.

Close to the Picturesque villages of Croyde with its beach noted for surfing in North Devon and its famous pubs The Thatch Inn and The Manor Inn.
